CPAT Team

The Mississippi Chapter of the American Planning Association is calling on volunteers from its membership for a new Community Planning Assistance Team (CPAT)  project. The team will work with the City of McComb to address planning related concerns.

CPAT Municipality: City of McComb

McComb is the largest city in Pike County and was heavily impacted by urban renewal in the 1970’s. In recent years, the city of McComb has successfully worked to revitalize the downtown and reverse the impacts of urban renewal. It has requested help with parking, market and gap analysis and livability features.

Sessions Scheduled:

The workshops and sessions are scheduled for June 3-5, 2015

CPAT Volunteers Needed:

The Chapter is seeking approximately 7-10 volunteers to assist in the Community Planning Assistance sessions. The City has provided details specific to its requested needs for the CPAT Project. Tasks will depend largely the strengths of the individuals on the team. In particular, we are seeking experience with Sketch Up, GIS and producing a final product

All that is needed is your time!
Lodging will be provided at a local hotel. Meals will be provided by the community and APA MS.

Be a Part of the Team!
