Congratulations to Jocelyn Poe and Grant Meyer for passing the AICP exam this spring.
Jocelyn Poe is the senior planner at Duvall Decker Architects, P. A. Her ability to comprehend complex planning issues allows the integration of good planning principles into all aspects of the design practices. She has recently published the West Jackson Master Plan Guidebook and the Hinds Community College Facilities Master Plan. Jocelyn received a Master of Community Planning from Auburn University after attaining a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Tuskegee University. She is active in the local chapters of the American Institute of Architects and the American Planning Association and enthusiastic participant in volunteer efforts that lead to improving the greater Jackson area. With a commitment to improving the quality of life for the disadvantage, her desire is to use, not only her education, but her experiences and background to build better communities and create healthy places.
Grant Meyer currently serves as the Community Planner for the Tupelo-based Community Development Foundation. He holds a Master in Urban Planning degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts from Mississippi State University. His professional interests include economic development planning, urban redevelopment, real estate, housing, and transportation. His hobbies include reading, learning languages, biking, and spending time outdoors. Grant is also a LEED Accredited Professional and an active member of the Memphis Chapter of the Urban Land Institute.”
